Biography

Dr. K.C. Owsley is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He has a particular interest in arthroscopy and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle.

A native of Escondido, California, Dr. Owsley graduated from San Pasqual High School and went on to receive dual degrees in Philosophy and Zoology from Brigham Young University. He received his Medical Doctorate with honors from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York and remained in New York for his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center.

Upon graduating from residency, Dr. Owsley completed a sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. While there, he worked as part of the medical staff for the L.A. Dodgers, L.A. Lakers, L.A. Angels, L.A. Galaxy, L.A. Sparks Anaheim Ducks, USC Football and many high school, college and amateur athletes.

He is a candidate member of the American Academy Association of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and the Arthroscopy Association of North America (ANNA).

Dr. Owsley lives in San Diego with his wife and is a proud father of two boys and two girls. He enjoys skiing, surfing, cycling and spending time outdoors with his family.
