Biography

Dr. Rod Serry is a Chicago native and attended Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota. After medical school at Rush Medical College and Internal Medicine residency at Rush Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, he completed fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at UCSD Medical Center. Dr. Serry trained further at El Camino Hospital (Mountain View, CA) in the minimally invasive treatment of complex peripheral vascular disease. Dr. Serry is board certified in both Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and has been practicing with Escondido Cardiology Associates since 2007.


Dr. Serry’s area of specialty is Interventional Cardiology, with particular interest in lower extremity revascularization to avoid amputation, aortic aneurysm repair, and carotid artery stenting. He maintains privileges at Palomar Medical Center, Pomerado Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, and UCSD Medical Center.
